The Friend: Love is not a big enough word.
Both a horrible and beautiful account of a husband supporting his wife through terminal cancer.

Simple Rules for Healthy Living
A great set of rules for living a healthier life.
Back in February, Vizual-Statistix posted this interesting look at income equality in major metropolitan U.S. cities.
Inspired by these maps, I wanted to see how income equality looked for Kitsap County. Following the same steps, I mapped the median household income by census tracts for all of Kitsap County.
Two things stood out to me: 1) Puget Sound Naval Shipyard* and central and south Bainbridge Island have the greatest area median income and 2) there are no major visual extremes in income equality in Kitsap County.
Data source: U.S. Census (ACS 2013, 5-yr).
*=From what little that I know about the shipyard, I’m guessing the handful of Navy leadership (captains, admirals, lieutenants, other officers) that reside in permanent base housing contribute to the greater area median income.
Seahawks down by 4 points in the final 30 seconds of the Super Bowl. 2nd down with 1 yard to go with both a healthy Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson on the field and YOU THROW TO LOCKETTE, A 4TH STRING WIDE RECEIVER! WHAT THE F ARE YOU THINKING!?!?
Run it with Lynch, all day, every day, twice on Sundays, three times on Super Bowl Sunday.
(Yes, still grieving 48 hours after the Seahawks Super Bowl loss to the Patriots.)
Spotify e-mailed me a summary of my 2014 listening habits. Probably the most surprising about the results was that Coldplay’s “Magic” was the song I listened to the most in 2014. While it’s a good song, it was hardly my favorite. I thought for sure it would have been something off Phantogram, London Grammar, or even Pharrell’s albums. Here are a few other surprising tidbits of information about my listening habits.

I like Indie music. This is an accurate statement.

I like Portugal, The Man! This is a semi-accurate statement. Like, yes, but not my favorite of 2014. It would be hard to pinpoint just one artist for 2014.

My top album was Yours Truly by Sublime. This is not an accurate statement. I liked the Sublime album, but it wasn’t my favorite.
Other true statements: I listen to Spotify the most on Tuesdays (new release days) and I listen most on my phone (commute or working out).

I love everything about this XS650.
